My Motorcycle is a
1987
Harley Davidson FXSTC (Softail)
- I bought it new in 1987 from Barnett's Harley Davidson in El Paso, Tx, USA.
- I have ridden it more than 150,000 miles (not kilometers - MILES) with no major overhauls.
- I broke it in by Harley Davidson Motor Company instructions - to the letter. Then I modified it.
- The paint is self done; "House of Colors" Polyurethane in Candy Burgundy with a Silver Flake base.
- The engine has some mild modifications to ensure better efficiency and a bit more power.
- The Cam, Carburetor, and Electronics Module have been changed to better models.
- I have used Amsoil 20W50 Synthetic Racing Oil since the engine had 5,000 miles.
- So far, all functions are as new, and the bike runs great. (aside from wearing out so many tires)
- You may also view my every day truck, which was just converted to Amsoil products
- Amsoil released a V-Twin Motorcycle oil specifically for Harley Davidsons in 1993. Now I use that.
